Matthew Whincop

Dr Matthew Whincop, has more than 20 years’ experience on a variety of archaeological research and cultural heritage projects, including pre-construction survey and salvage excavation on large mining and infrastructure projects in Australasia, and the Middle East.  Matt has experience training field archaeologists and managing large archaeological projects according to relevant budgetary and legislative constraints, and has provided a wide variety of cultural heritage advice, including: expert advice, cultural heritage management plans, cultural heritage assessments, cultural heritage strategies, and due diligence reports. Matt has also undertaken desktop assessments of World Heritage Nominations and currently serves at Treasurer for Australia ICOMOS.
