Dr Matthew Whincop, has more than 20 years’ experience on a variety of archaeological research and cultural heritage projects, including pre-construction survey and salvage excavation on large mining and infrastructure projects in Australasia, and the Middle East. Matt has experience training field archaeologists and managing large archaeological projects, and has provided a wide variety of cultural heritage advice, including: expert advice, cultural heritage management plans, cultural heritage assessments, cultural heritage strategies, due diligence reports, and a range of World Heritage advice (e.g. Technical Missions, Advisory Missions, workshops, risk assessments, ICOMOS panels, and nomination reviews). Matt also formerly served at Treasurer for Australia ICOMOS.
